MEET LINDA

New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community

Linda Deos is the former elected Chair of the Yolo County Democratic Central Committee, an executive board member of the Davis Democratic Club, and PAC member for the Greater Sacramento Stonewall Democratic Club. She is currently a member of the Davis Planning Commission. Linda chaired the Yolo County Cannabis Tax Citizens’ Oversight Committee and was one of two at-large appointees to this Committee. She was an appointee to the City of Davis Utilities Commission and served two terms as Chair. Linda previously served on the City of Davis Personnel Board. She is a former executive board member of the Yolo Basin Foundation and a current member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Davis Lodge #169. Linda was the volunteer Food Site Coordinator for the Yolo Food Bank at its Davis location.


Linda is entering her 27th year as a practicing attorney whose woman-owned firm, Deos Law, PC, focuses on representing consumers in disputes with creditors, banks and other financial institutions. In her practice, she has successfully negotiated several settlements on behalf of her clients totaling over a million dollars. Linda serves as a court-appointed mediator in the Eastern District of California and is past-president of the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum. She also teaches courses to legal professionals on topics related to mortgages and bankruptcy, the interplay between consumer protection laws and bankruptcy, defending debt collection lawsuits in state court, as well as how to protect homeowners from foreclosure actions in state and federal court.

Linda was awarded a certificate of completion for the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program, July/2022, John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Executive Education. She earned her Juris Doctorate from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and her Bachelor’s Degree in International Policy Studies from Middlebury College – Monterey Institute of International Studies. After obtaining her BA, Linda was chosen to be a delegate to the United Nations Decade of Women in Nairobi, Kenya. Prior to attending college, she was honored to be chosen to be an American Field Service (AFS) student in Istanbul, Turkey.


She lives in North Davis with her wife, Eva, along with their dog, Dobby, and cat, Marco Polo.
